The Government has committed to consulting on changing the batteries producer responsibility regime to ensure more portable batteries are being collected for recycling.

BIPBA continues to engage with Government and industry stakeholders to ensure that any future system for collecting and recycling batteries is fit for purpose, drives greater circularity in the long term and best serves consumers and the environment.
